One can only hope . . . perhaps this could be the start of take-outs in this space for all of the other under performing turds?

PMCS is worried about shareholder return, and VTSS can't bother to post a press release in the last month. Interesting. When was the last time anyone heard of VTSS fretting over the shareholders?

Thanks or posting this. I do not take this as good news. Anytime industries start to consolidate it basically says there are too many players and too little profit. not a great environment for a company to prosper in.

MSPD is out today announcing the earnings release date of May 7. Six months ago VTSS talked about 20% growth in the June and Sept quarter. Get ready for that to be pushed back to 2013. We should get some guidance on the June quarter with the VTSS conference call (sometime before May 15 I would hope). Come on VTSS. show us what 300 design wins can do. Right now we aren't seeing much.

Heavy option activity in PMCS Calls last week- someone speculating on take-out being real.

That is amazing - no press releases (Their most important product)in month or so. CRG will fret over shareholders when he needs their approval on something!

AMCC pre-announces a shorfall of revenue.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/appliedmicro-announces-updated-financial-outlook-200300922.html

Guidance was $52 million for the quarter, now talking $48-$49 million for the march 2012 quarter, the company's fiscal 4th quarter. Revenue 90 days ago, December 2011 was $56.3 million. so AMCC is now looking at a 13.8% decline in revenue in 90 days. March of 2011 was $65.6 million so year over year decline will be something like 26%.

The market is very weak and/or AMCC is losing some significant market share. Evidently we are still looking for the great surge of demand caused by all of the data flying around the world.

Question: would vtss' position (a lot of new products and low valuation -- even with the debt) make it a good buyout candidate? Could this be the reason for the silence? I know, vtss doesn't need a reason not to talk to shareholders. Still ... thoughts?
