This is panic selling. What are the chances that Gardner would move up the earnings call to calm the waters (I'm not holding my breath)?

in order to move up the release you would actually have to have the numbers done. that ain't going to happen. VTSS used to release on the 15th of the month after quarter close (the last day legally permitted). They are now 7 days ahead of that yet still 10-14 days behind everyone else in the industry. You can't release the numbers if you don't have them.

All the weak hands (and a few of the fed-up ones) will be leaving.

I think that with the markets set to plunge because no one knows the consequences of what the collapse of the Euro would do to world markets, and even if vtss comes out with great numbers, but the market plunges, you have to ask, "Will they ever get to the conversion price?" They might have to refinance yet again, and if they do, they could be taken private by Whitebox, and the shareholders will be out in the cold once more. Texas Instruments came out with a revised and rosey sales forecast today, but there is a lot of uncertainty in the market. Do people wait it out until the earnings call, or do they sell it all and hunker down? VTSS is not the most risk-free place in a risky and turbulent economy. It would be nice if VTSS we talking a sale of the company to someone who wanted the technology and wanted to consolidate the market, but somehow I still think that VTSS' management still harbors delusions of grandeur. The ship has taken an awfully long time to turn, partly due to the complexity of the debaucle, but also due to the lack of urgency on VTSS' part. I wonder if this thing can be saved.

A better move by Chris would be to announce his resignation- the stock would definitely pop on that news!
A lot of stocks have a pre-earnings run in anticipation of the event-unfortunately for us it's in the wrong direction.
TXN up over a buck in after-hours trading.

This thing is owned by so many shady hedge funds, that anytime they get short of cash to cover redemptions, they sell the turds in their portfolio, of which this happens to be one.

I wonder what will prevail: optimism across the board based upon TXN's sales forecast, or pessimism based upon the possibility of a central bank induced calamity in world markets. It will be interesting to see if VTSS has swept more crap under the rug that is about to emerge, or if they failed to warn on another less than stellar quarter. Failing to warn would be a real kick in the teeth to shareholders ... one among many in a long history. Will it bounce, or sink further? Would someone "panic sell" into the close just to get the price down? Anything is possible, and the market hates a mystery.

VTSS down again today! I'm just amazed at how the major VTSS shareholders can stick with the same management team after all this time and abysmal share price performance!
CRG HAS TO GO to give everyone a feeling that ANY CHANGE might help the situation!
