What a difference two months of disconnection from society makes! Vitesse has more money in the bank, more shares out but also higher share price... "May you live in interesting times" said the old timer. interesting indeed.
Mudoy's article reinforces for me that Vitesse is in the sweet spot. I expect this week will be very interesting for Vitesse, much to the delight of us bagholders.
Any forecast or is every one burned out by so many past company excuses?
Peace

if you go back 6 months, a statement was made regarding:
"the market maker's flash $5.46 often near or after the close of trading--seems to be a signal."
looks like this finally occured on 8/2/13, which was this past Friday.
someone over on the Y board also noticed and made a point of this action.

It is extremely difficult to be optimistic about tomorrow's earnings & forecast. Chris is a "Serial Disappointer" despite good engineering talent/products.
If he could just paint a picture of improvement next quarter and forecast that, maybe we have a shot.

the $5.46 was my post - -we have seen it a couple times in last few months - - to us it is Needham flash to funds and other mkt makers -that vtss expected price - -come an buy some from us as we took 28MM shares in 2 dilutions, doubled shares to 56MM and expect higher prices - -as the largest shareholder who doesn't even need to file a 13 - - and we have buyers who have added or initiated positions above our issue prices. ----
we are in spring training for a long season - -forget the past - the stock is in accumulation mode - the cc will be average on earnings and plus on future developments - -to me - -Columbia is the seller today - -
also for techinvestor - - he will paint a picture of improvement - -but we still probably won't get the pop that AMCC did out of this not too great news, from amcc: Non-GAAP income for the first quarter of fiscal 2014 was $1.4 million or $0.02 per diluted share, compared to non-GAAP income of $0.1 million or $0.00 per diluted share in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2013 and non-GAAP net loss of $11.4 million or $(0.18) per share for the first quarter of fiscal 2013.
"We had an excellent quarter, where we had strength in our base business and also continued to make significant progress towards getting our revolutionary and category defining X-Gene server platforms to market," said Dr. Paramesh Gopi, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Shiva Natarajan, interim Chief Financial Officer, commented, "We had a great quarter where we achieved better than expected non-GAAP results. We expect to continue to execute solidly as we position ourselves for the growth we anticipate in the future". To me - -AMCC is fully valued -and has less to crow about than VTSS - -and when they finally start shipping the X-Gene server on a chip - -vtss will begin to get IP revenue from the error correction deal. you can see that amcc is loved -- vtss for now is dis-trusted - -i will stick with crg over dr. Gopi - -both are talking future sales at this time - china buys and installs and VTSS is inside. we are inside huawei, zte, ericcson, alu, csco (by meraki buy) , brcm (by netLogic buy) and hpq - -did i miss any?? vtss is inside!!!! but the new stuff is not deployed yet - -this is a Long Term Evolution

interesting piece, notice how Vitesse sits inside of most if not all of the top players.
MILLIMETER WAVE EQUIPMENT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS
Infonetics expects the global millimeter wave equipment market to grow to just under $600 million by 2017
BridgeWave retains its overall market share leadership, capturing just under a third of total millimeter wave revenue in 2012
A market share shakeup is expected over the coming months as major microwave vendors including Aviat Networks, Ericsson, Fujitsu, and Huawei launch millimeter wave products
In the early years of the millimeter wave market, most deployments were for access-based applications for enterprise and fixed operator customers, whereas mobile backhaul is now and will remain the predominant driver of the market going forward.
