This is a very interesting heading, which actually reads in full:

" Vitesse Joins Broadband Forum to Advance Ethernet Networks "

the eye catcher here is:

" to Advance Ethernet Networks "

is this saying that Vitesse will be a part of the decision making process in how Ethernet evolves and how the Vitesse product line will become a part of that evolution?

looks like many more contracts in Vitesse future $$$$$$$.

"Vitesse's input is welcomed as we evolve packet-based network management specification and optimization."

"Our technical experts look forward to working with the other Broadband Forum members to standardize the technical specifications and best practices needed for tomorrow's Ethernet-based broadband networks."

When the "whose who" of the business are using your know-how in many of their platforms, it's a natural to be invited to help shape the trends of the future..

Exciting times indeed!!!!!!!!

I place this article here because every tech company is bringing us closer to the thriller "TERMINATOR" the consequences from "nano's" remains unclear but we charge forward.
I don't apologize for my comments, I feel sorry for the future because we "humans" are really infants at best with the occasional adult who is usually powerless against the adolescence of the masses.

I often wonder if the millions of phones, batteries in the phones, in our kids pockets get proper disposal or do the kids follow our(parents) example and just chuck things when no one is looking?

one of my favorites! one of my favorites! cruise ships dumping remains into the ocean and serving fish... next time on a cruise skip the fish maybe... but all is good right, no one was looking???
Interesting love affair we have with the ocean, we use it as a toilet and eat from it.
bless our adolescent hearts!

Please forgive my stupidity, just airing some truth.

Peace

Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:VTSS) Leveraging Expertise For Gigaband
Posted On 14 Mar 2014By : David CampbellComment: 0Tag: NASDAQ:VTSS, Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:VTSS)

Denver, CO, 03/14/2014, (Avauncer.com) – The broadband market is heating up as networks and developers are working to deliver internet speeds measured in gigabits. Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:VTSS) is also leveraging its expertise in the field.

The Gigabit challenge:

Internet can be accessed through cable as well as mobiles. Cable delivery was once considered to be fast and more reliable and many companies like Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:VTSS) developed their expertise in this field. However, will telecom companies rolling out 4G LTE networks, they are poised to challenge the dominance of cable operators. As such, PCs are being replaced with smartphones and tablets. With a shrinking base of Desktops and laptops, it is evident that consumers will also shift their preferences to other delivery platforms.

To protect their consumer base, many companies have formed a forum. They will be seeking to use their expertise and domain knowledge to roll out networks that can deliver gigabit speeds.

Enterprise solutions:

Though consumers are shifting to tablets and smartphones, businesses still rely on laptops and Desktops to run their operations. They are also upgrading to cloud services to improve performances and increase portability. Cloud services need a reliable and fast internet connection. This segment has been picked up by consortium. Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:VTSS) has now become a paid member of this forum and will assit it in developing ‘Advance Ethernet Networks’. The company is a market leader in the highly competitive Advanced IC and Solutions board space and will be working closely with some 200 technology and service providers to develop the networks.

Consolidation among companies is ensuring that larger companies can grow at a very fast pace. However for many companies, acquisitions and mergers are not a viable option. They have to work with each other and share their knowledge base as well as expertise and skill sets to remain competitive. Such forums provide a base for companies and Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:VTSS)’s decision will have far reaching positive consequences on the company in the future.

" I believe that Vitesse’s cutting-edge technologies in telecom sector will find ample scope as we develop relevant standards.”

Vitesse brings to mind an old Virginia slims commercial,
"YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY BABY"
The company continues to ascend, Oh! I smell Russell...

VTSS has re-tested its breakout from ascending channel at $ 4.20 today and is now (9:30 AM) $ .11 above it ($ 4.31). Down $ .21 on the day in down market.

Let's hope we can stay above $ 4.20.

What's amazing to me is, if VTSS is so viable a company in such a hot & growing sector, with a market cap of only $ 260 mil, why hasn't anyone made an offer to buy/merge with VTSS??

This is chump change.

Didn't AMCC make an offer in the midst of the debacle, which CRG characterized as not a serious offer? I don't know that a dollar value was ever disclosed.

I think you're right phobos. Hopefully CRG has a fiduciary responsibility to present shareholders any offers tendered and not bury them so he can continue milking the company.

Let's hope the old days are a thing of the past Tech ... God it was only recently that the shareholders' meetings returned. Hopefully, someone will make him an offer that none of us can refuse.

The company has fought back from NEAR DEATH! my wish is for her to continue chasing destiny on her own terms.
Keep the farm as is CRG...
