China could be the wild card affecting our American customers orders,
From IBM's Q,

CHINA WOES

Revenue in the Americas fell 4 percent, while revenue in the emerging markets of Brazil, Russia, India and China declined 11 percent, led by China where revenue fell by 20 percent.

Although IBM books only about 5 percent of its sales in China, declining revenue over the last three quarters has been dragging down the company's emerging markets business overall.

Chief Executive Ginni Rometty has visited China on two occasions in the last three months, seeking to restore trust with Chinese regulators in the wake of last year's revelations by former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden of spying. That has undercut business at some U.S.-based multinationals operating in the world's second-biggest economy.

In February, Rometty held meetings with Chinese officials, including Vice Premier Wang Yang, who is responsible for helping to formulate China's economic policy.

"We expect it will take some time for our business in China to improve," Schroeter said.

Skyworks Solutions (SWKS) announced great earnings yesterday. They are executing their business plan and cashing in. They declared a dividend also- I'm sure VTSS employees who jumped ship years ago and went to Skyworks are ecstatic.

I say this in a humorous vein, but isn't it funny we're agonizing over when VTSS can attain $ 30 mil/Qtr in revs. when companies like Build-A-Bear (BBW) do $ 95 mil/Qtr selling stuffed bears.

Yea, and a few years back I got all in a huff about VTSS losing its NOLs (net operating loss carry forwards) when they went through one of their many restructurings. Because it was deemed a change of ownership. Basic problem here is you need to register a profit before you can offset it with NOLs.

Maybe we ought to buy one of those bears and send it to Gardner every quarter until we start to see some black ink. Or maybe to every member of the Board of Directors.

Nice find phobos! indeed Vitesse customers Aviat, mediatek etc are making life miserable for Broadcom, bless their hearts!

Metro-edge is vitesse's domain/focus, our moment has arrived phobos. Keep in mind all the IoT customers we been getting in China! so many that CRG can't keep track of them; true we won't start paying bills from them until end of this year but D-wins are step one in the process.

Peace

Aviat making great use of the Serval light I would say!
Perhaps broadcom needs to license 4G stuff from Vitesse because they are struggling in a mighty way.
THEY ARE BRAKING MY HEART...

Given the old "el-plunge-o" in the share price over the last couple of days, I'm guessing that VTSS will not be rocking their earnings this quarter.

I wonder (not really) why the SEC isn't asking how some seem to know ahead of the call?

"leverage integrated operation edges of two super-fast networks(LTE+FTTH) to enhance future competitiveness."

Vitesse is in the center of the above technologies, the time has arrived for these associations to start reflecting nicely. I look forward to a strong Q2, keep in mind last years Q2 surprised strongly.

About our caretakers(sec, fda and all the other,,,)
ASK NO QUESTIONS, HEAR NO LIES.
Decades ago I started applying the above concept to my life, it's going to take me beyond 100 easily. Few days ago in a rare hello with a neighbor(inner city life) he said "yea dealing with these kids is harder now that I am 56," I responded yea I'll be 55 in a couple of months... His jaw nearly dropped, "you mean I am only a year older than you?? you look 40...

The above is a classic illustration, Vitesse helped MRV become certified now MRV is helping others... Technology is spreading like a disease and quietly Vitesse is getting pieces of that pie.

May you live in interesting times...

Is Vitesse the winner? is she the winner of the tight rope walk between ''performance and cost"?
I expect Q2 to start answering such questions.

"The key issue in China" saved Vitesse life and its put her in an enviable position as her relationship with key Chinese players grows by leaps and bounds.

I'm just amazed that VTSS can't produce decent Revs. It is in for granted a very competetive landscape, but come on, with all the potential customers for their leading edge product line, how come they can't monetize this to decent Revs.

I wonder what influence Billy Martin and new Board members will have on VTSS. I guess May 6 will tell us a lot about the future direction of VTSS.
