Will Vitesse be a part of the New Smart Energy Grid?

I just finished viewing the first of a two part 20 minute program about the up and coming Smart Grid which will become a world wide event.

"New green alternative energy will be bigger for our markets than the internet was" This was stated by Bill Paul, an alternative energy analyst interviewed by Consuelo Mack
on www.wealthtrack.com where she interviewed Paul on what the Smart Grid is and how it will be the heart of the new power grid, "The New Internet" and the many companies that will be a part of it.

Paul mentions that routers and switches will be connected to the many energy using products located throughout the house to a Smart Meter which will then be connected to an energy source.

After reading about the many "green technologies" that are associated with Vitesse and the internet I wonder if they will be having a part in the build out of the New Smart Energy Grid. The interview made no mention of Vitesse or any other semiconductor company. Cisco and a few of the heavy hitters were mentioned. This may all change after part two airs.

If Vitesse were to have a part in this worldwide build out then all of us very long diluted bagholders could be in for a happy ending, time will tell.

Here's Gardner's comment on this from the last conference call, referring to their new switches and PHYs. I'm sure all the chip companies have their eye on this market.

"....I think you'll start to see more and more adjacent segments that we can go after, whether it's industrial, whether
it's Smart Grids, et cetera, based on the capabilities that are in these [new] products."

Yes gardner spoke with a touch of confidence about the possibilities for all these new chips. I see Vitesses Greens putting a lot of green in all of our pockets. Whitebox will be very flexible, they too see Green pastures ahead. Vtss supplies many of these "heavy hitters."

Will Vtss be part of the new smart energy grid?
Its been part of Chinas courtesy of Huawei; The new products will deepen this love affair even more. Might Huawei just try to swallow Vtss? we do have a DE FACTO product in V-SCOPE.
For a Grid to truly become smart V-scope capabilities are a necessary.
