Here is where we stand with some of the other participants in the industry.

all numbers are in percentages. The first number cited is quarter to quarter growth meaning growth from the previous quarter (90 days ago). The second number is the year over year growth meaning growth from the same quarter of the previous year.

AMCC: 5.8, 35.0
MXIM: 11.0, 43.0
MSPD: 7.5, 33.0
PMCS: 5.0, 30.0
QLGC: -, 16.0

(It is the first fiscal quarter for QLGC so comparing growth from 90 days ago, its 4th quarter, is not worthwile due to the fact that most companies hype growth in the 4th quarter to meet sales targets etc.)

Given what others are reporting something in the +5-7% area for revenue growth from VTSS would be acceptable. That would make revenue $46.0 - $46.9 million. More would be great but in the past 3 quarters VTSS has reported on the low end of the rest of the companies.

Given the action of the share price this week, you kinda have to wonder what Monday will bring.

Maybe CRG should quit fooling around in the "legal affairs" dept. & take the new guy to Asia to meet the big customers, maybe pickup a few more orders.

Is the $46-$46.9 million area for revenue growth comparible to what Gardner stated would be Vitesses goal for this quarter. In other words, If revenue growth is 5.7% will Gardner be living up to what he said he would do? $50 Million is what I thought would be happening but that now seems like a way off prediction.

Chris:

I would be very surprised, pleasantly, to see VTSS report anything near $50 in revenue for the quarter. The primary reason being AMCC and MSPD both indicated their revenue was restrained because of the inability to get parts. There is apparently a supply shortage out there. MSPD said lead times are now 24-26 weeks. MSPD gave guidance for the september quarter for revenue of +1-6% and commented that they had 100% of revenue for September already in the backlog. When asked what was the constraint and why they couldn't ship more their response was - shortages in the supply chain.

I think Yahoo finance estimates are for $45.4 million on revenue and break even on EPS, a low bar to meet....but one that allows Vitesse to beat and have estimates get raised for the current quarter ($47.5 mil??) but I want to hear that re-listing is imminent on Nasdaq! It has been 6 months since our pal gave his "8-12 weeks" prediction and we all know how the last 4 years have gone.

Well, another stupid press release about a product that won't ship for revenue until mid 2011 at the earliest.....but nothing about Nasdaq re-listing. The sole purpose of the north of $35 million spent on recreating financials was to get re-listed (instead of paying down debt). It has been 19 months since Vitesse became eligible. It has been 6 months since Gardner's last BS about 8-12 weeks for this to happen. It has been almost 6 weeks since the RS.

Nothing.

Well, here we sit once again with the press pieces coming out before earnings. Trying to be optimistic here. I think $46 will be the revenue number which will keep us at $5. Anything above $46 will move it incrementally. If revenue is $50, we should be off to $8. GLTUA

Hi Matt,

I don't think we will have to worry about $8 anytime soon based on this report.....unless the new guy replaces CRG. Of well. Should have accepted reality and sold a long time ago. CRG is putting the good spin on this. He is optimistic.
